Have a soap party at Opal’z! We have a party space that can accommodate up to 20 people. The parties are two hours. The cost is just $25 for set up and $18 per person. You and your guests will have a great time, and you will leave with 4 of your very own, personalized, homemade pure vegetable glycerin soaps.
Parents ... even though these soaps are brightly colored and highly scented, they are safe to use. In fact, the soap base we use is much better quality than grocery store soaps. They are made with all vegetable oils with no preservatives and no harsh petrochemicals that dry the skin.
Opal’z hosts parties for: Birthdays, Bridal Showers, Church Groups, Seniors, Baby Showers, Parent Groups and Families, Singles, Girl's Night Out, Corporate Off Sites, and much more.
You can make wedding favor soaps with your bridal parties, make crafts to sell at a fundraiser for seniors, church, or school groups, or gather a group of singles to get to know each other in a fun, creative environment! Your party, your special touches, your fun.
We also have candle making parties, spa parties, make-up parties, make your own natural make-up parties, and photo shoot parties where you can take glamour shots after getting hair and make-up done.
• Plan a make-up party! For teens and up, gather the girls and learn some quick everyday natural looks or how to turn up the polish a little bit! $15 set up fee - $15 per person
• Make-your-own lip balm and bath salts. We teach you about natural lip balm ingredients and the different types of salts and the benefits to the body. We’ll guide you through the recipes. Each guest will take home 3 lip balm and 3 bath salts. $25 set up + $15 per person.
• Make-your-own natural make-up parties. You and your guests will make 1 lipstick and 4 loose eye shadows each-$25 set up fee + $20 per person.
• Just eye shadows. We'll make several eye shadows and learn how to press them into a compact. You'll make a 15 pot eye shadow palette. Because the materials are very pricey and the finished product is priceless, the cost of this is a $40 set up fee and $30 per person.
• Make-your-own candles party. Each guest makes a soy wax candles, a gel candle and a design candle to fill out this fun two hour party. $25 set up fee + $20 per person.
• Spa party. Guests can either learn to make a natural masque and exfoliating scrub or use one of our good quality commercial ones. Then they do a masque and cool cucumbers on the eyes (good photos!). Then nails done and a peppermint foot balm foot rub. We need one or two mom helpers for the last part. Up to 12 guests. $25 set up and $20 per person.
• Glamour shots party. Hair and make-up done, professional photos to take home on a CD. $35 set up fee + $40 per person. Up to 12 people.
No need to decorate, because the party room is very cute as is, but for any of the parties, you are welcome to bring food and drink. It is encouraged for the soap parties especially since there needs to be a diversion while the soaps cool enough to get out of the molds. You are also welcome to plan a seated party game. Please no running games or noisemakers!
Opal'z is located in Midtown Palo Alto. Super convenient location for a party place. There is a Round Table Pizza right across the street, a Baskin Robbins a short walk away, and a Longs Drug store and Safeway nearby.

You can reserve your party date with no charge, but a full non-refundable payment is due one week (7 days) before your party with the exact guest count. You can call with a credit card order, send a check or drop by with cash, check or credit card Wednesday through Sunday 10AM - 4PM.
